A celebratory evening of folk songs, enhanced with Baroque improvisations, which will be both moving and invigorating.
Ensemble Anja & Zlatna presents a program of beautiful melodic lines and complex rhythms from Eastern Europe and the Middle East in an exploration of the phenomena of birth, life and death. The ensemble’s unique sound comes from the unusual blend of flute, bass, harpsichord and voices (plus a few other surprises!).
Together they perform a selection of re-imagined folk melodies from Russia, Italy and the Eastern Mediterranean.
