Anja & Zlatna explore the phenomena of dreams, nature and the integral questions to existence, which have long found expression through folk music.

Focussing primarily on Balkan folk music, this program ranges from the ecstatic meditations of the medieval Orthodox chant ‘Radusya nevesto’ to the prophetic words of the Virgin Mary to her infant Jesus in Falconieri’s hypnotic ‘Hor ch’e Tempo’. Letters From Beyond is an exploration of the earthly and the sublime.
